What is a Crown?
Dental crowns are used to repair teeth suffering from damage, decay, or infection. Our dentists recommend crowns to cap the existing structure of the affected tooth. This is done to restore its shape, strength, and function, giving you a complete and healthy smile again. You will be able to care for your crown, just like a natural tooth.
Crowns can also be used in cosmetic procedures to improve the appearance of teeth that are stained, discoloured, or misshapen.
What is a Bridge?
Dental bridges use a series of crowns to replace one or more missing teeth. Our dentists use bridges to fill the space left behind by tooth loss. Bridges are permanently anchored in place and supported by two crowns placed on either side of the gap. Once placed, your bridge will replace the missing teeth, complete your smile, and restore the healthy function of your bite.
Without treatment, the surrounding teeth may drift out of alignment to fill the gap, leading to an improper bite, crooked teeth, and an increased risk of gum disease and TMJ. This can eventually cause lasting damage to your overall oral health.

Dr. Deirdre Denis, BSc, DDS earned her dental degree from the University of Toronto, graduating with awards of distinction in orthodontics and oral surgery. She then interned at Mount Sinai Hospital, learning dentistry techniques firsthand from some of Toronto’s most respected specialists.
Kim Tait, DDS
Dr. Kim Tait, DDS obtained her dental degree from the University of Detroit Mercy and awarded for academic excellence. It is important to her that each patient is clearly communicated with and heard. Her goal is to make sure each patient is treated with respect and great care.
